The maong woman.

It wasn't a usual day. Simply because I went to Manila alone. I usually go there with Kuya as my urban buddy (oh and he has money) but this time I had to go all the way to Ortigas with no one to pay for my transport expenses. It was a scorching hot day so i wore a pair of boardshorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops - just the perfect summer outfit. It's funny how filipinos often wear maong pants and a tight shirt with a jacket from Bench or Penshoppe on top of it. They should give themselves a break, c'mon, it was apparently too hot to wear that kind of apparel! for the sake of porma magsusuot sila nun. *slaps forehead*. ekkk. jologs!

Parang kanina, since there's this welga going on everyone had no choice but to take the mrt. Consequently, Taft Ave. was packed with people. so shempre, jologs galore! Ok, i'll excuse people who wears office attire, its pretty obvious why. Pero gad demmet, may isa tlga kanina parang naliligaw ng panahon. di ko alam kung bakla or bading eh! babae ata! Just try to visualize ah, Maong tight pants (skinny jeans?), black boots, tapos white tanktop (atleast white), and - and here's the funny part - maong jacket with cats fur (sort of ) on the neckline. ano, laban ka? haha, talk about a fashion faux pas! shempre since mainit daw ung panahon, naka shades si ate! ooh, smart move un, kudos to that! Everyone was a sweating pig, while she tried to pull off a winter outfit. nyahaha! I'm not the only one who noticed, she was really conspicuous even from a distance. Anyway, natuwa lang ako sa kanya :) I could've taken a photo but I guess it would be best if i just try to picture it out in my mind.

Was she merely craving for attention? loves being different? huli na ba siya sa balita at di nya alam summer na? or talagang tanga lang.

I just kept pondering about those kind of behavior during the whole trip. Maporma kung sa maporma but it was absolutely not comfortable. I couldn't imagine myself going to that extent just to look good and making myself noticeable everytime i go out in public. It wasn't my first time to see those kind of people, i have seen fashion slaves a couple of times already but that was completely exaggerated. pity.
